Trina Turk and Threadless Launch Challenge To Create Next Iconic Trina Turk Design

Trina Turk and Threadless have teamed up to launch a design challenge, inviting consumers and the Threadless community of 2.2 million artists worldwide to create the next iconic design for Trina Turk’s Fall 2013 Collection.

For the first time, the public can help create and select Turk’s next iconic textile print during the Threadless + Trina Turk Design Challenge at threadless.com/loves/trinaturk. 

“It’s great to have the opportunity to work with the Threadless community of artists from around the globe,” said fashion designer, Trina Turk. “I’m a big supporter of rising designers and look forward to celebrating their ideas and featuring one of their designs in my Fall 2013 collection.”

Design submissions will be accepted from August 2 to August 23. The public can view and vote on design submissions from August 2 to August 30. The chosen designer will receive $2,000 cash, $2,000 Trina Turk gift card, $500 Threadless gift certificate and pieces from Trina Turk’s Fall 2013 collection that feature the chosen design.

“We’ve been turning our community’s weird, geeky and beautiful ideas into cool products since 2000 and are constantly seeking new canvases to feature their incredible work,” said Jake Nickell, founder of Threadless. “We’re excited to collaborate with Trina Turk to help find her next signature design and look forward to seeing what our community dreams up!”
