The week is finally here! Topshop/Topman (830 N. Michigan Ave., 312-280-6834) officially open on the Mag Mile this Thursday, Sept. 8, which should be the most stylish day Chicagoans have seen in awhile with all the Fashion's Night Out festivities.
But if you can't wait until the sun goes down, the 30,000-square-foot Topshop (the second flagship in the U.S.) will be celebrating its grand opening starting first thing in the morning.
Activities begin at 9:30 a.m. and the doors officially opening at 11 a.m. The opening soiree will include a runway show featuring Fall/Winter looks and a ribbon cutting by Topshop owner Sir Philip Green. Brittney Payton, daughter of legendary Chicago Bears player Walter Payton, will also be on hand to help with the celebration. A couple pieces of advice: arrive early, as fashion pandemonium is likely to ensue, and don't forget to catch the Topshop truck as it rolls around town this week to tide yourself over — and potentially score a $100 gift card.
