The Men’s Journal Collection pop-up store launched Wednesday, December 7 at the 900 North Michigan Shops honoring Chicago’s Men of the Year and a sneak peek of holiday gifts every man wants! Style Director Suzanne Kopulos was there to celebrate the opening and gadgets and gizmos galore!
Shopping for the man in your life will get a little easier this holiday season with the opening of the first-ever Men's Journal pop-up store in Chicago! From now through Wednesday, December 21, shoppers can visit the temporary gift shop and discover more through an interactive retail showcase of this year’s hottest gear.
The store will feature gift ideas from the 2011 “Gear of the Year” list, which is handpicked by the editors and published in the December/January “Best of” issue, as well as other featured products. Items on display will represent an array of categories including adventure, electronics, fitness, style and travel, and can be ordered online at kiosks throughout the store. I especially loved the dog finder, so no man will ever lose his best friend!
“We have been looking to bring our ‘Gear of the Year’ platform to life, to give consumers a chance to interact with our key brand partners in a retail environment,” said Michael Wolfe, Men’s Journal Publisher. “And we needed to do it in a city that embodied the modern and adventurous spirit that Men’s Journal projects each month. I can’t imagine a more relevant and exciting partner city than Chicago.”
Party goers sipped Woodfood Reserve cocktails and wine, while checking out the latest in gift options and mingling with the Windy City "Men of the Year", a group of accomplished men in the Chicago community selected by Men’s Journal who exemplify the magazine’s mantra “live the interesting life.”
