What is your favorite thing about being a part of the fashion industry?
Every day brings something new, it’s ever changing and never boring.

What is currently your favorite item in your closet?
My black shiny Moncler hoodie ski jacket and Ruthie Davis “Spike” booties in black.

When all else fails, what item is your “go-to” item for a chic look?
A fitted black leather jacket.

What is your favorite piece from your current collection?
The “Spikette” in black with gunmetal spike studs and crystals (seen on Fergie at the 2010 American Music Awards).

Why do you LOVE Chicago?
I like to run on the Chicago River.

What do you think makes Chicago style different from any other city, or is it?
Chicago style is a very polished and put together look.

Where is your favorite place to eat/drink/play in Chicago?
Whatever restaurant has fabulous Chicago deep dish pizza.

What essential piece do you think every Chicago gal should have in their closet?
A Ruthie Davis “Vamp” pump because it’s classic and sophisticated but with a fashion forward twist. Looks great with skinny jeans or a pencil skirt.

What is your current obsession? (fashion or non-fashion)
My current obsession in fashion: minimalism, green nails, rosegold metal, black on black on black (monochromatic).

iTunes or Pandora? What is playing on heavy rotation?
iTunes. On my rotation is Young Forever by Jay-Z, OMG by Usher feat. Will.i.am, Celebration by Madonna, Telephone by Lady GaGa feat. Beyonce, Only Girl in the World by Rihanna, Coming Home by Diddy, and California Gurls by Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg.

What is the last thing you bought?
A rose gold necklace that spells “Love”.

What do you pack for a last minute trip?
Skinny jeans, tanks, little black sweaters, black leather hot pants, black opaque tights, and Ruthie Davis “Sushi Rock & Roll” pumps.

Worst fashion moment?
Red and olive striped Norma Kamali mini dress with puffy sleeves and olive leggings, a fashion moment from the 80s.

Favorite fashion moment?
The outfit I wore to my gallery opening at the New Britain Museum of Modern Art which was a taupe bandage dress by Herve Leger with Ruthie Davis “Vamp” pumps in taupe and black, and a large black Prada watch.  

Which fashion trend do you wish would go away forever or never come back?
Leopard shoes, leather leggings and big furry vests.
