The woman behind Paige Denim talks about Chicago fashion and her favorite Paige styles.

Paige Denim, the uber popular designer denim brand, was created by none other than Paige Adams-Geller – and we got to interview her! She talks about her go-to places in Chicago, her favorite piece from the current collection, and the Paige item that every Chicago girl needs in her closet.

What is your favorite thing about being a part of the fashion industry?
My favorite thing about being part of the fashion industry is being able to create trends. I also love how good people feel when they put my designs on and love the way they look.

What is currently your favorite item in your closet?
My favorite item in my closet is probably my Alaia black suede hiking boots that lace up and are SO sexy! 

When all else fails, what item is your “go-to” item for a chic look?
When all else fails, I go to my black leather blazer that has this amazing metallic finish, I feel like a rock star when I wear it. I also love our black Reeves Ponte skirt for an instant chic look.

What is your favorite piece from your current collection?
My favorite current Paige styles would be my Lou Lous in Black Vinyl and my Eternity Burgundy Jeggings along with the black Ridley Leather Jacket.

Why do you LOVE Chicago?
I love Chicago because I love being able to dress for all the seasons. I also love the culture there.

What do you think makes Chicago style different from any other city, or is it?
Chicago is different from any other place because it truly mixes east coast and west coast fashion and vibe.

Where is your favorite place to eat/drink/play in Chicago?
My favorite places to eat are Il Mulino and Mercadito and I love to shop at E Street Denim.

What essential piece do you think every Chicago gal should have in their closet?
I think every Chicago girl should have the Jadyn in her wardrobe, it is the perfect uptown meets downtown piece. I love dressing it up with ankle boots or going casual with my sweater and Uggs.

What is your current obsession? (fashion or non-fashion)
My current obsession is my Alexander Wang navy handbag.

Both, I love music!  I’m currently listening to Rilo Kiley, Florence and the Machine, Pink, Gwen Stefani, Ray LaMontagne, and David Gray.

What is the last thing you bought?
The last thing I bought was gas for my car and Christmas presents.

What do you pack for a last minute trip?
I always pack my cashmere blanket for any last minute trip.

Worst fashion moment?
My worst fashion moment was the 80s with my huge hair and shoulder pads.

Favorite fashion moment?
I love leather jackets and skinny jeans.

Which fashion trend do you wish would go away forever or never come back?
I would love for harem pants to go away.
